To take your kid’s garden playhouse to the next level, why not decorate, furnish and accessorise it?

We sell a range of accessories for our playhouses, including bells, letterboxes, shutters, tables and chairs.

You can also get creative and decorate the outside of the playhouse by painting it, putting stencils on it, hanging things like bird feeders or plant pots, or planting a flower bed around it. Then, give your kids the responsibility of topping up the bird feeders and watering the plants, which will be great for their independence.

What size playhouse should I get my kids?

This depends on how much room you have in your garden, but we say the bigger the better! The bigger the playhouse, the less quickly your children will grow out of it. So, sizing up is a way to protect your investment.

How should I look after your Wendy houses?

Some of our houses come untreated. These need to be coated with a suitable stain to protect them from wood rot. It is worth noting that even with this stain, they won’t be 100% rainproof. The stain should be reapplied every year or two to keep the house looking tip-top.

Where should I put the house?

You need to build the house on level ground to ensure it is stable and secure. Also, ensure there is enough clearance around all sides, you want your kids to be able to run around without any obstructions. You should also think about the type of ground you put the house on. Gravel or tarmac will not be as pleasant if your kids have bumps or falls! Grass or mulch can be a better foundation.

Are your houses easy to set up?

Our playhouses are sent out flat-packed but they are made from prefabricated panels for easy setup. Depending on the size and configuration you go for, 2 adults can set up some of our larger houses in around 2 hours. All you need is some basic DIY tools.
